Maternity Jean Make-Over
So, in case you haven't heard - I'm pregnant.
And in case you didn't know, the last time I was pregnant was 6 years ago!
Holy cow - 6 years ago!!
So, while it's great that I have a tub of maternity clothes and I didn't need to start from the beginning...some of my clothes are a little, well, outdated.
Take these nice flared, boot cut jeans.
Perfect for 2008.
2014 - er, not so much!
Don't mind the nosey dog or the spotty mirror...not sure why it photographed like that?
So, I did a little searching and - Ta Da!
Pants fit for 2014!
Literally, all I did was take a pair of pants that currently fit me well (which is a challenge for my ever growing belly) and trace them. Then I flipped the pants over, traced the back side, pinned the chalk lines, sewed, cut and done!
I'll admit - they aren't perfect. The calves are great...but the thighs are still pretty loose and baggy. I think they are more of a weekend Jean then anything, but at least now I have two pairs of jeans to last me the next 4 months.
I have one other pair of jeans that are a little too flared for 2014, but I think I'm going to try and make capris out of them. Believe it or not, summer will come and I will be HUGE! I think I need to start thinking about cooler clothes. Not only was I pregnant 6 years ago, I was also pregnant during a totally different time of year. A MUCH cooler time of year. So currently I have 2 pairs of capris, 1 decent pair of shorts. And now that I have to buy a new wardrobe for baby BOY Bach, I can't be spending a lot of money on clothes I will only wear for 4 months. I'll keep you posted on capris or pants redo!
