How Suite It Is!

Image
I'm just not doing good with blogging right now. OK, I seldom do good with blogging.  But I have like 3 posts started and then I never finish them!  Have I ever mentioned how I just feel like a blog post isn't a blog post without pictures?  So if I don't upload the pictures, I think I can't post the blog.   Oh the agony! Well, we've always known the blog is mostly for me...so...at least I can get this one in the books! On Sunday, our friend Z had his company's suite for the Brewer's game and he invited a few of his friends to tag along.   This group, man.  They are amazing.  And we don't all get together nearly enough!  Darn kids! But if you are going to watch a Brewer's game, then a Suite is the only way to do it! The minute we walked into the Suite we were greeted by two tables full of food.  And food is one of Oliver's favorite things!  So he indulged in some cheese, strawberries and *gasp* chicken tenders.....

Just another Day in the Life

Oh I'm just filled with regret. I just spent time doing my Summer edition of Day in the Life .  Another weekday. And I TOTALLY should have done the post today-I basically did without realizing it! So here we go - It's not as detailed - so bear with me.  I'm proud of how the day turned out -- Given how the night went. Friday night I went to bed around 9:30, concerned about how my night could go.  Of course, not until after Eleanor and I made and consumed our own little s'mores dip. Around 10:30 I heard Oliver wake up.  I flew out of bed, gave him his nuk and he fell back to sleep right away.  But his 1:30 wake up call was not as easy.  We battled it out until 3:30 AM when I finally caved and made him a bottle.  Twice.  He ate 2 oz, screamed, so I made 2 more!  Oh God am I screwed now!  What is up with this kid?? Anyway, he woke up for good around 6:30 and actually, Eleanor was just getting out of bed too. We had a very lazy morn...

A Day in the Life - Vol. 2: Summer 2015: BIRTHDAY EDITION!

I want it to be known that it is 8:35 at night.  All day long I have dictated my day.  I have taken pictures. And now I sat down to get started and my dictation is gone!  GONE! So I have to try and remember everything...based on the pictures I took.  I was going to just start over tomorrow.  Do it all over again.  But this is a day in the life of Dana...and Dana does dumb stuff like this.  AND lucky for me, I picked a work day.  There just isn't much that goes on during the day of a work day.  I promise to pick a weekend next time! Date:  Tuesday, July 7, 2015 Dana:  35 - TODAY Andy:  37 Eleanor:  6 (Summer before 1st grade) Oliver:  10 mo. 12 days Karl:  10 (Still in our cast of characters...although, I don't believe he receives much love in this edition) 3:33 A.M.||  Oliver is fussing in his crib.  Andy gets out of bed and "Nuks him".  Usually all we have to do at night is get out of be...

July 5th - Happy UnBirthday to me!

This morning we woke up.  The sun was shining and we had an entire day ahead of us.  We starting thinking about what we could/should/would do and how it would play into Oliver's nap schedule.    On Friday, we also had a day ahead of us....we figured we'd do something in the afternoon and then Oliver decided to sleep most of the afternoon.  And poor Eleanor...we kept saying, "When Oliver wakes up...when Oliver wakes up..." and I did not want to replay that same scenario.   So we decided to quickly pack up and head to the zoo!  We have a zoo pass and we don't take advantage of it nearly enough!  If we walked around for 1 hour or 3 hours, who cares! We had an amazing morning!  We took a nice stroll around the zoo, saw some animals, tried to get Oliver to recognize some animals and even took Oliver on his first train ride.  The afternoon starting coming out fast and furious and we were all getting hot.  Of course, Oliver wa...
