Church Festival Fun
In February, I decided it was time for me to get a new camera.
My cousin had the newer Canon and she takes A-MAZING pictures.
My camera was several years old and given how much I like taking pictures, I knew it was time to make the investment before Baby Bach was born.
Unfortunately, my new Canon is just a little smarter than I am and I'm having a hard time getting used to the new camera and the new lens. I feel like some of my pictures just aren't as crisp as I want them to be.
OK, honestly, I want them all to be professional grade all the time. And yet, 90% of the pictures I take these days are with my iPhone. They get uploaded to Facebook or sent via text to a family member.
I have an amazing camera, but in order to get great pictures, I have to start using it and getting really comfortable with it.
I take my big camera - Affectionately named Big Momma by my nephew - out when we have really special events. Birthday parties, 1st communions, vacations, etc. But weddings - I don't even bring Big Momma. Parties. Life. I need to use it.
So tonight we were headed to our church festival and I thought it was the perfect time to practice some of those "Life Shots". I'm REALLY happy with the way some of them turned out. Some of them made me really made because I thought I had selected all the right settings and STILL they were blurry.
But I'm practicing and that's all I can think about. The more I practice, the better I'll get.
So here are just a few of my favs...and some blurry favs. from our night at the festival. And it was a great time...and I got some great camera practice in.
So - watch out friends and family! I'm going to be camera practicing A LOT for the next few months. I LOVE pictures. I love capturing the amazing moments of life....And I need to do it more often. You've been warned!
Abby was not so certain about the giant slide!
No one is looking at me - but I captured the car - and blurred the background. Neat-O. I wonder how I did that!
I love the way Eleanor is holding on to Andy in this picture. Just melts my heart.
The lead singer said this is her favorite part of church festivals...the dancing kiddos. Aw!
Can't shove cotton candy in her mouth fast enough!
Sweet moment with Grandpa.
go go go go go go go...CRASH! Another sweet moment captured with dad.
