A few days late - but - Happy Anniversary!
Given the state of mind that my family is in these days...I find it impressive that I am only 5 days late in this post!
State of mind = tired. Exhausted. Newborn obsessed! Kindergarten focused!
Happy Anniversary, Andy! I can't believe that (on September 7) we have been married for 1 year! I truly feel that we have been married for so much longer...but that's probably given the year we have had.
In the past 365 days::
I married my best friend. My love.
I got a new job - an amazing new job - a challenging new job.
We found out I was pregnant.
We sold our house (SO STRESSFUL)
Bought a new one and moved into the house of dreams.
We bought a new car.
We had a baby.
We sent our "baby" to Kindergarten.
I'm not really sure what else we could have crammed into a year.
Some people can go through these major life events and feel the stress pull at their relationship - I found each event to bring us closer together. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us...however...I admit that maybe some of the future years can be a little less "action packed". I look forward to living the life we have created.
Andy, I didn't think it was possible for me to love again - not like this. You were so patient with me and you said it best just the other day...we took it slow in the beginning so we could go faster when we needed to. Thank you for loving me - for challenging me - for accepting me - for being serious with me - for being goofy with me - for surprising me - for being you and allowing me to be me. I love the life we've been given and there's no one I'd rather be living it with.
I'm so excited for this next year...and many, many (many many) more! I love you!!
