Oliver Newborn/Sibling pictures

I can't believe how much blogging I have to do!  I haven't even posted pictures of Oliver's nursery yet!

Before I get there - I just have to share a few of Oliver's newborn pictures.

One of my first sleepless nights I got it in my head that I wanted needed newborn pictures of Oliver.  Technically, I knew I was capable of taking pictures of Oliver...but Oliver AND Eleanor?  Together?  Impossible!

Poor planning - right?  Who just has a baby and then decides to take newborn pictures?  I mean - I had to book my wedding photographer MONTHS in advance.  There is no way I was going to find a photographer this fast.  And knowing me, I'd Google search it and end up with some hack and then I should have just taken the pictures myself!

So I asked the Facebook who they would recommend and received a few good suggestions, but several people recommended Now It's Personal Photography.  I sent Tanya an e-mail and asked for her availability...she was quick to respond and quick to get us in!

The following Sunday (September 7th...our anniversary!) we were on our way to Saukville for Newborn pictures.

I'm not getting any kickback from this - I swear - but I'd REALLY recommend Tanya for pictures: Newborn, sibling or otherwise.  She was fantastic!
A few things I learned during infant pictures:
Photographers keep their studios REALLY warm.  Tanya used several space heaters to ensure the area was nice and comfortable for the naked baby!  That's where I would have first failed...I would have stripped Oliver down to his diaper in a cold drafty room and expected perfection!

Newborns are really moldable!  Tanya would just kind of hold Oliver in a certain position for a little bit and then he would just sorta...stay there!

Sometimes corny pictures turn out really cute!  Andy and I weren't so sure about this ring shot that we've seen several times...but given that the pictures were taken on our 1st wedding anniversary, we thought...eh, why not?  And I can't wait to recreate this picture when O is 16! (ha!)

I don't know how I am ever going to decide which pictures to print.  The reality is, I have WAY more pictures than I really need!  But each one is just cuter than the next!

Oh and isn't he just the most kissable looking kiddo ever?  I mean those lips!  Those cheeks!  God I just love him!!

He really is my little prince!  Royalty!

And don't even get me started on his big sister!  I mean...when did my adorable baby turn into a beautiful girl?  She doesn't look like a baby anymore at all?  Those features!  Those eyes!  So big!  And just beautiful.  That's the only word for it! (And if you don't see Nic in those eyes!)

And some day...when Oliver is graduating high school - and I have this picture blown up for his graduation party - he'll look at me and roll his eyes!  Seriously mom?  A hot air balloon.
And I'll look at him and I'll roll my eyes back.  Seriously Oliver....a hot air balloon.  So whimsical.  So magical.  Like a dream.  It's like all my wishes for you, baby boy! (I feel another eye roll coming!)

So happy with my decision to do newborn pictures!  So happy with my decision to go with Now It's Personal Photography.  Thanks, Tanya!
