Kitchen Remodel - Chapter 2 - The Initial Timeline

 We received an official timeline today!  Below is directly from Kel.  Get used to the name...he's our project manager. 

Here is an update for the project.

• The guys will be showing up on Wednesday, 10/21 to start the demo.
• The demo should be complete by Friday.
• We will leave the powder room in tack and leave the door on.
• The laundry room will not be disturbed at this time; we will wait until the day before flooring is installed.
• Week of 10/26 - The plumbing, heating and electrical all will be there and this might run into the following week.
• Week of 11/2 - finish of the plumbing, heating and electrical. Inspections
• Week of 11/9 – drywall
• Week of 11/16 – painting and cabinet installation
• Week of 11/23 – cabinets and countertop measure.
• Week of 11/30 – flooring, doors, and millwork
• Week of 12/7 - miscellaneous things that need to get done.
• Week of 12/14 – countertop installation (this is a guess for now). Backsplash if ready.
• Week of 12/21 – finish plumbing heating and electrical.
• Week of 12/28 – appliances and finishes.

The last few weeks in the above schedule are tentative and could change. There is some flexibility in the schedule so if anything doesn’t go quite right it shouldn’t’ affect the schedule.
