Happy Thanksgiving 2015!

Image
Another Thanksgiving in the books. I just haven't been in the blogging mood, but somehow Eleanor discovered the blog.  She LOVES reading all the old entries...so I feel compelled to keep writing.   And I know some day I'm really going to really appreciate that I kept this up.   Sigh. So Thursday. I don't know why but "Turkey Trots" have really gotten a bad rap.   I love them.   And you know what they say about girls that run! We've actually been doing the Drumstick Dash all 4 years of the 4 years it's been in existence.   I mean...how cool is that?? Our running partners have changed a bit through-out the years, but there have been some constants as well! My parents met us at Woodman's around 7:30 that morning so that we didn't have to run with the kiddos.  Both Andy and I have really increased our per mile running average and were both looking forward to an actual race.  Plus it was a little rainy, with the t...

Happy Halloween 2015

Look at me!  Taking pictures and blogging all in the same day! But - this is actually pretty easy, because it's going to be mostly a picture blog.  This year I asked Eleanor what she wanted to be for Halloween.  I asked and I held my breath!  I was waiting for "Elsa" or some other Disney Princess.  Eleanor shocked me when she said she wanted to be "Mary Ingalls" from Little House on the Prairie.  I waited a few days and asked her again.  I received the same answer.  And so I set out to find a costume...that would cost me less than $120 on Esty!  (For what it's worth, I found this AWESOME outfit for around $20 on Amazon!) Then I asked Oliver what he wanted to be.  And he stared at me.   I felt bad that I wasn't making either of their costumes...but I'm actually over it.  In talking with one of our friends, we got around to talking about her son's first trick or treat...I asked to borrow the Halloween costume...d...

Pumpkin Pickin' and Carvin

3. That is the amount of blog posts I have started.  That I am working on. And I have yet to hit the "publish" button.  So my goal for tonight is to write this post and actually get it posted.   Fall is here. The weather has sharply changed.  It's cold at night.  It's cold in the morning.  And mother nature is in all her glory!  Our trees are just beautiful right now.  I could click pictures all day long!  This weekend we took our annual trip to the pumpkin farm.  It's not our favorite farm, but it's nice and local and it provides a hay wagon ride to the pumpkin field - which is a must for me.  Next year, when Oliver is just a little older, we will go exploring to find a new pumpkin farm. I loved the family across from us on the hayride, because right away she offered to take our family picture.  I LOVE family pictures and I LOVE family pictures on a hayride.  Oliver is in the Ergo on my back...hence his posi...
